Sun in Taurus

Sun governs your core sense of self — the part of you that stays recognizably "you" no matter what role you're playing. In Taurus, that takes on an earth temperament — steady and sensory, resistant to being rushed.

By tradition Sun is neither strong nor weak in Taurus, so it simply takes on the sign's character rather than being helped or hindered by it.

Taurus is an earth sign — grounded and practical — energy that builds.

What Sun in Taurus actually looks like

• In practice this shows up as being steady and sensory, resistant to being rushed.
• Under pressure it defaults to type: grounded and practical — energy that builds. That is the earth reflex, for better and worse.
• Because Taurus is fixed, it sustains — it holds a course once committed, hard to move off it, slow to begin and slow to let go.

Easy to misread as coldness or stubbornness, when it is usually a real need for something solid before moving.

Same earth element as Sun in Virgo and Capricorn, but where those lean mutable and cardinal, Taurus is fixed: it sustains, holds a course once committed, hard to move off it, slow to begin and slow to let go.
